A code is a clear set of instructions or guidelines

  • Instructions can either be clear or unclear. Clear and specific instructions can be likened to a code.
    (This means that a code mus be clear and specific)
  • A computer code is a set of instructions that a computer follows in order to perform a specific task
  • Therefore CODINGis the process of creating a set of clear instructions for a computer to follow
  • Codes are created in patterns

    what is programming?

    Programming is the process of writting computer programs using code.
    A computer understands the language of code the way humans understand english,Kiswahili or any other language.
    The scratch languageis similar to childrens building toys

    Sprites

    The sprite info is where scratch displays icons of the sprites that are being used in the current project. Asprite is an animated character or object in your program. We give actions to the sprite which make them move around, say something, make a noise or stay still.

    Scripts are what determine the actions that the sprite performs.

    in scratch, scripts are the coloured blocks that have the specific actions.
